Well, the “pre-nup” is guarantee that the mother is not just getting married just to have a kid, then divorcing and trying to take the kid (which I’ve seen). This protects the father, more so, the family.
Father – daughter arrangements are not ideal but not detrimental. If the bond is good with the father, there could be minimal effects, with the exception of the family coming apart. If it really matters what the child (girl or boy) is feeling, then it might be in the best interest of the parents to try to keep the family together, whatever it takes.
A good friend’s father raised two boys and a girl with the usual trials. The mother still shows up once or twice per year to say ‘hi’.
